He is married to Cynthia London Coleman and will be celebrating their 29th year wedding anniversary in August. They have one son, Imani Coleman, who just turned 14 years old this past May. Lee is a military veteran and has received honorable discharges and various other awards from the Navy, Air Force, and Air National Guard. He retired from the Air National Guard as a Master Sergeant after serving 27 years. During his tenure in those different branches of the military, he served in the capacity of a Jet Engine Mechanic, Aircraft Mechanic, and Disaster Preparedness Technician.

Lee graduated from Southern University with honors, obtaining a Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education and a Master’s Degree in Administration and Supervision. He has served as an educator for the 21 years, teaching at the elementary, middle, and high School levels. He was selected as Educator of the Year by the Kiwanis Club of Early Risers during his tenure as principal of Banks Elementary. He has also been an assistant principal at West Feliciana High, and is currently a district supervisor at West Feliciana Family Service Center. Although he is an accomplished public servant, his greatest joy is being a servant of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
