He is a graduate of Lincoln University and a member of its 40 under 40. He has over 18 years of service as an educator, serving in the roles of teacher, dean, assistant principal, and principal. His entire career has been dedicated to uplifting and representing those who have no voice. He has accomplished much of this by working hard to staff schools and by hiring/training former students to work in his business. He founded Farnum’s Finest Gourmet Desserts, based on his passion for food and a desire to create job opportunities for the young people he encountered throughout his career. These youth are also gingerly known as Farnum’s Finest. He believes that the relationships we build, one interaction at a time or one dessert at a time, can change the world. Shawn is also a dedicated husband and father of four.
